Dear Friends and Art collectors,
We are delighted to invite you at our "Open House" in the gallery, where we will present our latest selection of antique pieces from Southeast Asia, Gandhara, India, and Nepal, in dialogue with the recent paintings of Eric Guéna. Especially for this occasion, we are offering a selection of 19th-century furniture from China and Pakistan at exceptionally favorable prices. For those who appreciate true craftsmanship and timeless beauty.
Guéna’s art is characterized by a masterful interplay of texture, color, and composition. He often incorporates rich fabrics and patterns reminiscent of traditional Asian textile traditions. His paintings invite the viewer to delve into layers of history, spiritual quest and personal interpretation. Since the beginning of our collaboration in 2012, Eric Guéna and I have shared a deep admiration for the spirit of Asia — he translates it through paint and canvas, while I explore it through antiques and contemporary art. What binds us is a shared love for storytelling, symbolism, and timeless beauty. What started as a meeting between artist and gallery has grown into an artistic dialogue lasting over a decade. Eric’s work continues to touch and move our audience, and with every exhibition, our collaboration deepens. In this show, the dialogue between old and new comes to life: where an antique Buddha head from Thailand radiates calm and compassion, Eric’s brushstrokes echo that same serenity in contemporary form.
This Open House is not only a celebration of art, but also of a long-standing friendship and creative connection. Let yourself be carried on a journey from Asia’s rich heritage to its modern soul — united by our unique collaboration.
You’ll have the opportunity to look around at your own pace, ask questions, and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in a warm and serene atmosphere.
