The Chinese artist Cheng Jing is painter as well as sculptor. With a lot of creativity he makes his extrordinary collection of hand painted resin horses with the Han period horses as a source of inspiration. But he always gives his horses a contemporary twist, a raised funny tale, a laughing mouth or a comic attitude. He lets his imagination run wild. He adorns the horses with poems written by Mao or he makes brightly colored cartoons in order to raise a controversial topic of the Chinese society. Each horse is a unique piece of art, signed by the master.
